Students receive an excellent education in English and one other world language (German, Spanish, or French). The art of communicating in foreign languages is part of our social reputation, which opens doors for us to draw on significantly greater sources of knowledge than we would accumulate merely in Czech.
Foreign languages
Language teaching is provided exclusively by approved Czech professionals and native speakers from different countries (USA, Ireland, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Germany, Austria, France, and Belgium. Experiences with diverse accents and cultures move language proficiency from vocabulary study to real, effective communication. Students talk about life abroad and bring it closer by organizing celebrations of traditional Anglo-Saxon, German, or Ibero-American holidays.
The class includes conversations about current world topics, working with foreign language sources of information, and presenting to an audience. We learn to argue and cooperate. We help students travel abroad for study programs and encourage them to participate in essay and literary contests and other creative work.
In touch with real people
CAG regularly organizes discussions and workshops with distinguished guests from the political, scientific, and cultural life of Europe and the world (ambassadors, scientists, travelers, scholars, etc.). On the top, we orchestrate Days/Weeks dedicated to certain countries and their cultures,e.g: the Week of South Africa, the Week of Vietnam, the Week of Saxony, the Week of Mexico, Peru, etc.

British Council Partnership
CAG is a long-standing partner of the British Council, with whom we work in the form of organizing language exams, workshops, and education courses for teachers and students, etc.
Deutsche Partnerschule
CAG has been a German partner school since 2009. We currently have a total of seven DSD classes in the eight-year program. Students take the DSD-1 diploma after four years of study and in their final year, they sit for the DSD-2 diploma that enables them to study or work directly in German-speaking countries.
Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)
CAG has utilized the CLIL method in teaching subjects such as history, geography, biology, chemistry, computer science, social sciences, and art for a long time. Students thus have the opportunity to expand their vocabulary in English in various disciplines.
International Awards
For the application of Streaming to English language teaching, CAG won the prestigious international Label Award for Innovative Contribution to Language Education in 2009. Students have the opportunity to choose a subject and thematic specialisation in English in the last 2 years of their studies: General Business, General Science, Global Issues, British and American Literature. Students take the final exam in English in these compulsory electives. The oral examination may include a written thesis defence in the specialisation.
In 2018, a group of CAG students was selected to represent the Czech Republic at the Memphis in May International Festival in the USA.
Three of our students have managed to achieve the CEMACH prize organized by the Israeli embassy and won an exclusive trip to Israel.
Fulbright Teaching Fellowship
CAG is proud of the fact that three of its English teachers have been awarded the prestigious one-year American Fulbright Teaching Fellowship since 2000: Mr. Jan Mužík, Ms. Ivana Procházková, and Mrs. Štěpánka Kloudová.
Best background
We learn interactively, making the most of modern technology, whether it is mobile devices or a first-class language lab.
Widely recognized language certifications-Cambridge exams, IELTS, DSD-1, DSD-2, ÖSD
We prepare students for Cambridge or IELTS exams at all levels. Besides, we enable students from DSD-classes to obtain Deutsches Sprachdiplom Stufe I and II certificates, or ÖSD – Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch.
For all classes, we regularly organise mock exams, which are identical to the real Cambridge exams at all levels. We evaluate the results and use them to optimise further teaching.
Studying Abroad
CAG helps initiative students to obtain scholarships for foreign countries, certification exams, or studies at foreign universities.
After graduation, students most often go to study in English-speaking countries (the UK, the USA, Ireland, Canada) or apply to study in English in the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Austria, and Germany. We are happy to provide students with counseling aid for college/university studies abroad.
Our alumni include graduates from prestigious universities such as Harvard, the London School of Economics, Imperial College in London, Trinity College in Dublin, the University of Delft in the Netherlands, Leyden University Netherlands, the University of Aachen in Germany, and KU Leuven in Belgium.
Extra-curriculars
CAG offers a range of language courses for a fee, such as French, Italian, Ukranian, and Chinese. In addition, interested students can attend optional debating clubs in English, or participate in the TED talks project that also takes place in English conversation classes. CAG also offers the opportunity to participate in collaborations with the Czech EYP, MUN, EuropaSecura, etc.
